Fiber Chanel Cables provides storage attachement using the older SCSI protocol for Hard disks, Tape drives and other storage devices. This serial SCSI application allows easier cabling. higher performance (up to 1.0625 Gbits/sec), longer distances and higher device count without the use of terminators when compared to parallel SCSI interface. Therefore the ability to convert Fiber Optic signaling, Fiber Channel will soon become the storage archetecture of the future.
